NVIDIA unveils RTX Remix, a platform taking advantage of IA and ray tracing to infuse a new life in conventional games, offering powerful modders tools for improved graphics.
NVIDIA officially launched RTX Remix, a revolutionary modding platform that integrates AI and tracing the shelves to revitalize classic video games. This announcement occurs while RTX Remix leaves its beta phase, having already captured the Modding community with its ability to improve the graphics of the game and prolong the lifespan of beloved titles.
Revolutionizing the game modding
RTX Remix is designed for RTX AI PCs and allows modders to capture and improve game assets using generative AI tools. According to NvidiaThe platform supports NVIDIA DLSS 4, RTX Neural Radiance Cache and community models such as Pbrfusion 3, offering unrivaled Modding capacities.
Since its beta version, more than 30,000 modders have used RTX Remix to create ray -traced mods for hundreds of classic titles, reaching more than a million players. The tools focused on the AI of the platform allow modders to create physically based on 4K rendering assets or accelerate workflows with a generative AI, which facilitates the production of high quality game remasters.
Texture tools fed in AI
RTX Remix includes Advanced Generative Texture Tools that analyze and high -end of low -resolution textures from classic games. The AI generates physically precise materials, improving normal and rough cards while increasing resolution up to four times. The introduction of pbrfusion 3, an AI model developed by Modder Nightraven, further improves the quality of the texture by providing normal, roughness and high quality height.
Pbrfusion 3 is integrated into RTX Remix, allowing Modders to use the Comfyui for transparent texture processing. This integration simplifies the remastering process, even allowing small amateur teams to produce large play remasters.
Integration with the REST API
The capacities of the RTX Remix toolbox are accessible via a REST API, allowing Modders to connect the platform with digital content creation tools such as the mixer and modding tools like Hammer. This integration allows effective export and improvement in the textures of the game, which considerably reduces the time necessary for the remastering of the game scene.
Comfyui, a tool accelerated by RTX, offers thousands of generative AI models, offering modders various ways to deal with textures and improve game visuals. This tool also allows modders to use text prompts to generate new texture details or considerably modify the appearance of a scene.
Presentation of RTX Remix with half-life 2 RTX
Nvidia also announced a free demo of “Half-Life 2 RTX”, available on Steam from March 18. Built with RTX Remix, this demo highlights the capacities of the platform, with improved lighting traces to the shelves, realistic smoke effects and improved character details.
“Half-Life 2 RTX” demonstrates the power of Nvidia neural rendering technologies, including DLSS 4 and the neuronal radiance cache, which considerably increases image frequencies and lighting effects, offering an overview of the future of the game.
Future of AI in the game
The GTC 2025 of NVIDIA will further explore the potential of the AI in games, featuring sessions on the optimization of AI models and the use of advanced equipment. The spotlights will be on the progress of the RTX AI platform, promising to expand the limits of what is possible in the development of games based on AI.
